WHAT IS A TREATMENT LIKE? You will lie down to receive a Usui - Reiki treatment, although a Usui - Reiki treatment can also be given to someone sitting if necessary. The Qualified Practitioner / Teacher will gently place their hands on pre-determined parts of the body where they remain still. There is no need for clothing to be removed as treatment is given through clothing. The Universal Life Force earth energy will flow through the practitioner's hands bringing healing to wherever it is needed. Usui - Reiki is a holistic treatment, healing at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. There are often reports of a deep level of relaxation felt that is said to be equivalent to three or four hours normal sleep.
HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT LAST? The first treatment time consists of up to a half-hour Case History taken/counselling, followed by up to one hour hands- on energy treatment, allowing 15 minute after treatment discussion. Subsequent treatment, if necessary, consists of up to 15 minutes consultation to catch up on how you have progressed, and up to one-hour hands-on energy treatment, with 15 minutes after treatment discussion. If you think you would like/require extra counselling time you can pre-book half hour sessions to be added to your treatment time at a cost of £8.oo per 15 minutes.
WHAT IS USUI - REIKI USED FOR? Usui - Reiki can be used to heal ourselves, others, animals and plants. There is nothing that Usui - Reiki cannot help or heal in some way. The Usui - Reiki energy produces feelings of profound peace and relaxation, not only relieving conditions such as stress, depression, anxiety and insomnia but also many more. Usui - Reiki helps reduce or eliminate pain and accelerates the healing of cuts, sprains, broken bones and sport's injuries. Many chronic complaints and serious illnesses have been alleviated, sometimes dramatically. While Usui - Reiki will not heal most congenital birth defects; it can bring about clear improvements in even seemingly hopeless conditions. For the person living with permanent disability, the Usui - Reiki energy may not be able to correct their condition, but helps make living with it as comfortable as possible. Where a limb or body part has been amputated, Usui - Reiki cannot replace it, but will help the person adjust to the loss and to new ways of functioning.
